Film:
"I Wish I Had Waited: The Realities of Teen Parenting"
Client: Gilroy Unified School District / Community of Caring
This program was documentary short, with teens talking to teens about the realities of teen parenting. It advocates "abstinence" or "birth control". It was intended for local distribution but became so popular that hundreds of copies were ordered across the state, with some national distribution. It is played in Jr. High and High Schools throughout California.
"I
was interviewed for "I Wish I Had Waited" and found
myself sharing more information than I had planned. I have
worked with many directors and producers and found Patsy Northcutt
to be the very best in bringing out my most heartfelt feelings
and thoughts, and those of the students. I was equally impressed
with the high level of professionalism of the whole staff
and their willingness to go that extra mile to make our story
a genuine success."
-David Alvarez
Former Superintendent, Gilroy Unified School District
